Voice Memo / Amber Alert / Pre-Alarm
Leave a voice message about where you are going or who you are seeing and this will be sent to the ARC along with any alarm you initiate.
Up to the last 60 seconds of audio can be sent with the alarm to help the ARC determine your situation.
Setup an alarm that sends automatically unless you cancel it with a PIN code before the timer runs out.
Keypad Lock Override
No need to unlock the phone to send an alarm, simply press the power button and then trigger the app directly from the screen.
* Not all features are available on all platforms or devices.
The app initiates a phone call to a designated number once activated so the recipient can listen to the situation and render assistance.
Working alone is not in itself against the law and it will often be safe to do so. However, the law requires employers to consider carefully, and then deal with, any health and safety risks for people working alone. A british standard code of practice BS8484 provides guidance on this.
Lone workers are those who work by themselves without close or direct supervision, for example: In fixed establishments
A person working alone in a small workshop, petrol station, kiosk or shop
People working alone for long periods, in factories, warehouses, leisure centres
People working on their own outside normal hours, cleaners and security,
Workers involved in construction, maintenance and repair and plant
Agricultural and forestry workers
Service workers, including postal staff, social and medical workers, engineers
Estate agents, and sales or service
Auto Software Startup
The app is designed to startup with the phone even if it is rebooted, so you are always protected.
See at a glance the status of the app, your Defender Remote and the accuracy of your current position.
The phone vibrates once to confirm an alarm activation and once more to confirm that the alarm has been received by the server.
Employers have a duty to assess risks to lone workers and take steps to avoid or control risks where necessary. Atus Defender is the perfect solution for those who are vulnerable or at risk as it provides you or your staff with a simple to use app which is easy to install and use when assistance is required.
Atus Defender’s flexible cloud based design makes it the ideal solution for use as a lone worker alarm. The clear and simple design allows the user to activate the distress alarm on their smartphone in several ways, all of which instantly trigger the app to send their GPS location and ID to a specific service. This flexible approach allows the system to be tailored to each individual’s needs, whether that’s an Alarm Monitoring Centre (ARC), a co-worker or group of co-workers or an employer based security service, as well as automatically making a voice call to allow the details of the emergency to be heard. Using multiple transmission paths, data is also sent so even in the event of a poor GSM signal the alarm is likely to get through and assistance be provided.
Unique to our app are the individual indoor location beacons that allow users to be positively positioned within a building, even when there is no or little GPS satellite coverage. This distinctive feature allows Atus Defender to be used for both localised positioning whilst still providing all of the features required by BS8484.
The future of individual safety 24 hours a day has never been as easy or accessible. Atus Defender is available as a simple £9.95 per calendar month subscription service. Everything you need from app updates, to telephone support, a connection to our 24/7 alarm monitoring centre and notification of an event by text or email for two private contacts is included in your subscription.

The alarm is sent via 4G / 3G as well as by SMS to ensure that it gets through to the servers and can even use Wi-Fi as well.
